Footage from the TV John Show
A solo set happened on the TV John show recently, and here's the footage.
TV John performs a song to start, then Joe Dicey, then Teething Veils starts 20 minutes in. Those vocals are louder in the mix than any other recording in our history, but we like to embrace discomfort. Here's the set list and times, in case you'd like to jump around:

Constellations LP released today on Etxe Records
We are proud to release our second body of music, "Constellations" on Etxe Record today. You can hear the LP on the Etxe Bandcamp page. You can order your copy on vinyl with download, CD, and digital formats through the Etxe webstore. Played by Sam Chintha (guitar), Nathan Jurgenson (drums), and Greg Svitil (bass guitar, guitar, keyboards, voice). Artwork by Adam de Boer. Sleeve design by Jon P Goldman. Etxe says "this release maintains the intensity we grew accustomed to on "Velorio" while expanding on its aesthetic palette. A long-playing, post-rock journey, perfect for traveling via car/metro and late night ruminations." We also just found out that today is Mary Gaitskill's birthday; her short story "Mirror Ball" (from the "Don't Cry" collection) inspired lyrical references and tie-in's on our last album "Velorio." Happy birthday, Mary Gaitskill.

Writing on "Velorio" and shows
Here are some choice samples from reviews of our album "Velorio," including links to the full reviews in case you would like to read them.
"People who listen to music purely for entertainment, looking for the quick, tuneful ear candy fix, will certainly run screaming from Teething Veils. But for those who like to dissect every moment of an album, nearly trying to get inside the songwriter's head and see how they perceive the world, this is nothing short of fascinating."

etxe records
Teething Veils has joined the Etxe Records family.
Artist-driven, community-minded, and always autonomous, Etxe Records is an independent Washington DC-based record label. Etxe intends to highlight and celebrate place-based sonic art. Etxe (et – chay) is taken from one of the oldest known languages on Earth: Basque. In Basque, Etxe refers to a shelter, domicile, or home. An important unit of community is a 'place' for artists to convene and feel free to create. Etxe Records view themselves in a similar light for like-minded bands/artists.

recordings from radio cpr
We know that Alzo Boszormenyi reads Nietzsche on Saturdays nights, but who hears teething veils on Wednesday nights? Teething Veils played on the Radio CPR program 'Experiencing a Significant Gravitas Shortfall," hosted by the Mighty Grouse, on Sept. 15. You can hear the four-song set here.
teething veils playing records at taking the p*ss
For the last nine years, The Kaiser and The Pen-Striped Rebel have hosted Taking the P*ss, Mt. Pleasant's monthly night for indie oddities, at the venerable Marx Cafe at 3203 Mt Pleasant St, NW WDC. I've been humbled to play records with them on a few occasions. Here are the songs from those sets.
